โThe location is great. The rooms are a bit outdated, the showers are very ancient, and the beds are a bit outdated as well and hurts to sleep on. However, the location is perfect, and I don’t mind paying extra for the state park and upkeep. I did the walking tour, and it was very informative.โ – A K

โI did not have high expectations for this hotel but it was pretty great for what we needed and what we paid. We stayed for 4 nights and the location was perfect- right in the middle of Monterey and Carmel. The beach is right outside and the trail to the left leads to views of the otters and seals in the mornings. The TVs could use an upgrade but that’s not we were there for. The elevator was super helpful. The garage was a little odd and did have some oily substance on the ground that I did slip on a couple times. The exit to the underground parking was closed but it never got too crowded so it wasn’t an issue. We’d come back.โ – Izabella P

The highlight for us was the breakfast with probably the nicest view weโve ever experienced; it overlooked the water, and we even got to see a whale, sea lions, and otters.
